I just sympathize so much with what Dash will probably be going through. It's not the people making fun of you that I can't stand. It's the smug "I told you so" type reactions. I just wanna punch someone in the face whenever it happens

I feel the same way actually. Which is why I have yet to reveal to anyone that I actually watch this show.

@Ginger: I think in this context "fact that everything you once stood for has been rendered MEANINGLESS" is overstating it. I can totally sympathize with the desire to not have people rub it in that you were wrong and they were right, but the fact that Dash learns to enjoy something she didn't think she wouldn't isn't exactly on the level of existential crisis.

Ginger, I totally agree with you that being in that situation sucks. That smugness really is the worst. But that refusal to admit a change of opinion because of it is a legitimate fault. Saying that it renders your previous views meaningless is vastly overstating things. We all change and grow, the fact that we change opinions doesn't render our past ones faults, its just part of life.

@Ginger: I think a lot of depends on tone; there's a big difference between "See, I knew you'd enjoy it!" and "Ha! I was RIGHT!" I mean, Twilight kinda has a history of saying things that would normally sound condescending because she sees everything so objectively. So I wouldn't be surprised at all if she says something like "I knew you'd like it if you just give it a try", but it almost certainly won't be a mean way.

Getting back to the question of "how do ponies turn pages anyway."

Guys, we saw Twilight turn a page at the beginning of Griffon the Brush-off. She did it with her horn. I could swear I've seen the "grab the page corner with your mouth" method too.

I think you're putting a bit too much stock in that smugness Ginger. I hate it too, but I'd be lying if I said I haven't done that exact thing occasionally. Yeah, it's really annoying when it happens to you, but its like a minute of going "yeah, okay you were right, shut up, " and then life goes on.
