Interestingly she really didn't do all that much in the episode, just spoke a few lines.

Yeah, she definitely seems like the sort to hire laborers and supervise them, rather than working on her own. But I think she probably worked the orchard when it first started, and only took on workers as it got a bit too big for her.

Yeah, her orchard(s) is(are) definitely much more industrialized. She has a giant pony-powered cherry conveyor belt, after all.

No, more like she herself didn't have the resources (read: Big Mac) that SAA has available. Or she just took a different route. She took on one helper when it got to be a bit much, figuring the extra help would pay for itself in time, and it kept on going that way - as opposed to SAA, which was a family rather than solo business, so they didn't feel a need to take on extra workers because they already had plenty.

And, as Applelight said, it's clearly more industrialized.

Late teens to early twenties is a common interpretation of the mane cast age. There are no official ages though.

It's generally accepted that the mane six are in their late teens to early 20's.
