I think that what makes fluttershy different from other "Moe" characters is that she isnt really "uselesss" nor she is weak and helpless.

Even if she is doesnt believe on herself she is very strong even more than she realizes and she is willIng to be strong and brave for her friends. I think that's what sets her apart from other "moes"

Also, Fluttershy is a clear case of Silk Hiding Steel, and she has awesome Druid skillz with Animal Empathy.

I like it when she occasionally shows signs of disgruntlement, because even she has limits to the amount of random silliness she can tolerate.

By the way, I've started reading through the start of the thread. One thing I fond interesting is that the initial reaction to Cutie Mark Chronicles was overwhelmingly positive, and yet people nowadays don't like it much.

Also, the picture of Rarity in the shower is Hilarious in Hindsight.

Well, in a way it runs afoul of the "don't be a dick" rule, on the basis of enough people getting annoyed by it that they ask it to stop. By moving to another thread, everyone who likes that sort of thing gets to have their fun, while not aggravating those who find it rather less appealing.
