So I'm trying to catch up on all the posts about the latest episode, and apparently it's controversial.

I liked it. Yeah I knew right away why AJ was leaving, but whatever, the scenes at the cherry orchard were great and they had a stagecoach race. And sorry Ginger, but I liked Pinkie this episode. She was nice and gave that mailpony some cake, and her annoyingness was acknowledged and used as a plot point.

Oh, and Derpy. Not sure how I feel about that. They made her a little more, uh, derpy than I typically imagine her, but I actually like her voice and I can honestly say that's the most shocked I've been while watching an episode.

"I gotta get the heck outta Dodge." Literally, even.

My jaw went to the floor when I heard the word "Derpy"

Pinkie was hilarious this episode too

I think I finally nailed down how I feel about it: It's an overall good episode with one or two noticeable flaws. But seriously, I enjoy this more each time I watch it.

Going around various pony threads being amused by the massive walls of HOSHITDERPY they all have around 7:05.

That sounds about right.

Derpy has dethroned everypony else to be best pony.

On Equestria Daily, the post on Derpy has 1000+ comments. The post about the episode proper has only 700+ comments. I'm afraid to look at the former. Probably more of what I saw on Ponychan.

They have learned to weapnize Pinkie. I fear for the world.

Episode finished. Applejack definitely has the stubborn pride thing going on.

Yep, that was a pretty great episode. The chase was especially godlike.

I like how two days after I find out about the animated Cupcakes, Derpy is made canon. Apparently an act of great evil cannot exist without an equal act of good to balance the scales.

Poor Applejack Even in her own episode she isn't getting much attention.

Damn, Ponychan didn't even bother talking about the episode after Derpy showed up.

Anyone else really want cherries after watching this episode? I could go for some rainiers right now.

Three things:

• "The Last Roundup" is on The Friendship Express DVD, meaning Derpy's scene will be on there. I wonder how much this'll affect sales of that DVD...
• Dinky regained one of her cutie marks from "Call of the Cutie"! It's the pillow mark she had in one shot, rather than the bow & arrow mark she had in four shots.
• One or more people pointed out that Applejack & co. return to Ponyville without enough money to fix Town Hall. Could this be what leads to the Apple family being in danger of losing Sweet Apple Acres in the next episode, "The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000"?

In this case I would say the good part is beyond the bad part
