Plus there was a big writing cock-tease going on there. They spend the first few minutes raving about how amazing AJ is, and does she do anything particularly amazing? No. Hell, she doesn't even win first prize in a single competition.

Which is granted a lesson in and of itself, which I think would have made a much more interesting episode.

Is it odd that the Derpy scene was the worst part of this episode? I'm not all that mad that they called her "Derpy" (Headcanon: Nickname! Its a nickname!), its just... I was underwhelmed by the scene. Huh.

I'm not gonna lie, I though the Derpy scene was kinda hilarious. Not a fan of the voice, but it was still pretty funny.

That said, the whole "We're going to annoy AJ into talking" thing was a pretty big dick move on the part of the cast, and I just feel like AJ made a bit too much of a deal over the money thing. I mean, I would've imagined that she would have explained to her friends what happened and maybe just asked them not to tell the other ponies, not to run away.

I hated everypony in this episode. The ending moral was a nice touch, but seriously this was a generally obnoxious episode.

I thought the Derpy scene was laid on a bit thick (could have stood to be shorter), but I found it amusing and a nice gesture in general.

@Ginger: Careful there, (primes tranq rifle with T-Rex darts), you gotta understand that I have used that very tactic to make people talk. Nothing makes a stubbornly quiet prisoner spill the beans faster than a fine selection of earworms and badly-sung covers. Anyways, I thought you didn't want anypony to be too broken? As it is AJ has the highest stat averages in physical and only Dashie can match her.

Pinkie being annoying during the slow ride home was just her killing boredom. So sue me, I do that too.
