Good morning everybody. Hm... donkey episode w/ Pinkie. It could be cute I guess, I definitely wasn't expecting the Yankee Doodle pun. The point where we hear "Smile" will either be terribly sweet or entirely obnoxious. I'm hoping for the former.

Personally, I don't identify myself as a "brony", just a person who happens to be a fan of the show.

One thing I have learned is, episodes focusing on one character tend to put them through hell before teaching them a lesson,

and I don't see why Pinkie would be different.

I think this episode will be focused how Pinkie will deal with refusal of friendship, how someone who is not plothole (like Gilda) can dislike her. That maybe character development episode for her.

I like grouchy characters, so I hope they do Cranky Doodle justice. And I hope his reasons for disliking Pinkie are justified and I hope the lesson is that "you can't get everyone to live you, but you can do your best make sure they don't hate you", that would be a decent one.

Ginger, for all we know the song could hav the same effect as the "You Gotta Share" song, who knows?

Besides, when has anyone reacted positively to Pinkie singing? When she does, it's usually lampshaded, or in the case of cupcakes, filler.

Exactly. That's what I meant when I said it could be entirely obnoxious, depending on how Pinkie implements it. We know she doesn't have the best track record of judging when something is or is not appropriate.
