[up]Ginger's film class always came across as a bit. . ."special" from what he described.

@Mr AHR

a little advice sometimes arguing isnot the best choice, people are very stubborn on the internet and it can get tyring to make people see the same thing you do. But the greatest satisfaction comes when you prove them wrong with your work.

For instance I am sure Lauren had a hard time making people believe that girly stuff couldnot only be very cool but also enjoyed by many even people that supposedly shouldn't like it.

People never believe you and try to take you down. But you can prove them wrong : And You Thought It Would Fail

My brother put the intro to ponies on his mp3player, yet he refuses to admit he likes the show, and he doesn't want to hear any of the other sides sans winter wrap up

I've just about convinced my brother to watch an episode just for fun, but I have no idea which to show him. Any suggestions?

A Rarity episode. They're always the best.

Tipsy's rather heavy-handed pruning of the Radar page is starting to annoy me. A couple other editors seem to agree.

[up][up]Depends on his tastes.

@Perpetual Lurker: Well I watched Hearth's Warming Eve today and was struck by how good an episode it is for a random viewer. It's got it's own self contained story, the fact that they detail so much ancient history shows that its not just a mindless kids show, and its funny as hell, without knowing anything about the show. So that's my suggestion.

@L Mage: We've mostly been talking about writing, comics, and art in general.

And Perpetual Lurker is trying to decide what episode to show his/her brother.

Ah Comics, my best and worst enemy. I can do them just fine and easy but I think faster than I can draw and eventually lose interest because I can't get as far as I want fast enough.

[up]The answer is simple: Over a Barrel.

That deepends, what side of the story dose he want to show his brother? What is most likely to hook him in?

I want him to laugh at it first, I think. He's not the kind of person to be hooked by cool characters right away unless they do something funny or awesome, so I need an episode with great base entertainment value. Once he actually has interest he'll hopefully watch more.

I would go with either Feeling Pinkie Keen, Lesson Zero, or Dragonshy.
Mr AHR avatar
#74221 from ಠ_ಠ
Pinkie Keen might make him annoyed, depending on where he falls on that episode. It can be funny for some, but it's not guaranteed to be funny for all.

Luna Eclipsed might be a good one to, but it something of a spoiler for the first few episodes.
Mr AHR avatar
#74223 from ಠ_ಠ
I second the Zecora episode, but honestly, the first episode is meant to be the one doing the hooking.

Lesson Zero might be a good idea. Mental breakdowns are always fun to watchwink

The first two really are something different compared to the rest of the series. That, and I'm not sure that I could get him to watch both. If he's interested he should definitely watch it from the beginning for the character introductions though.

At the same time, I think Lesson Zero is funnier because of the context. It works better if you know Twilight.
