^^That seems like a good idea, keg. How about this:
After the episode has aired, the losers can pick whether they want to
watch something picked by the winners, or produce some kind of fanwork to the winners' specifications. The losers have to choose blind and cannot change their mind once they've picked.

Ginger: Then do something about it. Complaining won't help you improve. Doing will.
I actually wouldn't mind losing. It'd give me an excuse to write. Not that I can promise anyone they will like it. And I'm pretty sure I could handle older ponies, I've suffered through some pretty awful things.
I hear G1 is suprisingly tolerable...cannibal ponies...evil overlords...
Tealove is best pony.

^You had the Library of Power idea a while ago, right, Ginger? That was some fairly solid writing, all told - certainly nothing to be ashamed of, especially if it was a first fic. You only get better with practice, my friend; that's the long and short of it.

I don't know... there are a lot of us here who really like doing the creative stuff. I still think everyone should be forced to watch something, so it's even, and losers can volunteer to produce something for the winners. After all, only 1 of the three camps is going to win, so the ration of producers to requesters should be well even.
Ginger: Writing, of course. Take an idea and run with it. Even if you have to start something grandiose to get yourself motivated. Work your way through it a little at a time. Anything is better than just complaining (which gets you jack all).
That would work, JTeeth - but man, these are getting to be heavy stakes. =)

I'm just trying to help Ginger feel included, here. I mean, like I said: Most of the people here who would be volunteering for the extra stuff wouldn't really consider it to be work. Hell, I'd volunteer and do the watching easily. I want to volunteer, it's the watching that's the extra stuff, so it's not much of a punishment. Not unless I get like... a really weird request.
@Ginger: Rich shakes
everyone down. The only reason he's never shaken me down is because I'm fairly certain he's got zero interest in my fic.
@CDRW: Balls to you.
