^I think she's older than her husband. Either way, she's clearly still of childbearing age, and statistically that puts her at or below around 50, doesn't it? And the Cakes don't feel like they're in their 40s.

I'd put them at their early 40's at the oldest, probably a few years younger than that. They aren't quite over the hill.

What's wrong with how they dress? And I've seen young people in clothing that has made me ill. Dressing atrociously is not above the youth.

I peg the cakes at their early 30's, at the latest. They just don't feel older than that, to me. They don't have that sort of clamness that older people have yet, If that makes sense.

I like to imagine they were all that remained of the ruling powers than wasn't driven incurably insane by Discord's rampage, so they picked up the pieces. They did such a good job, nopony wanted them to step down.
