Just...anything involving the kids really.

Pound thumping his highchair...Pumpkin chewing on everything...it's all good!

As much as I hated the overly easy resolution, seeing the kids desperately trying to cheer up Pinkie was incredibly cute.

King Kong, Star Wars, Heart of Darkness, The Big Lebowski, Dudley Do Right, Trainspotting and Pepe Le Pew to name about 5% of the references. Honestly I haven't seen this many shout-outs to other movies and TV shows since Reboot.

Thus why this show is great...along with the characterisation, plots, world etc.

What makes this show so great is that the animators are so visibly having fun themselves.

At least, that's what I like to think.

They hide enough random background details that there's no way they aren't having fun with it. Otherwise they wouldn't put the effort in.

And it's not just the animators either, the writers and composers have to collaborate for a lot of the references as well.

Why does everypony states Scootaloo can't fly ? I don't remember seeing her try, or state that she can't

...I just supposed that none of her parents were Pegasi, and as such she spend most of her time on earth. And that she liked hes scooter as much as flying xD

The Big Lebowski ponies for starters...that wasn't needed...and they still did it...and that is awesome.

Definitely. The animators are most easily able to insert things like that in, and they do, and it's awesome. It's just that I find myself loving the musical references just as much as animation gags, and credit should be given where credit is due.

You know, it's probably harder to fly with your hooves dragging on the ground than it is with no contact. If she's strong enough to lift herself, she can lift herself at any altitude (air thinning at extreme altitudes notwithstanding), not just ground level. Now, she may have a problem gaining altitude, but I bet she could fly straight just fine.

Maybe Scoots can fly, just at an altitude of about an inch.

The fact that the entire staff have fun creating this show makes the show INFINITELY better. Same thing with TTGL.

Same with every great show in existence. Friends was great because the actors became true friends, One Piece is great because Eichiiro Oda loves his story and characters...

Yeah, when I talk about 'the animators', I usually refer to the entire team, including writers and whathaveyous.

Hay, guys. There's just no way I'll catch up on 60+ new pages. I see Ginger survived Baby Cakes with his sanity (?) intact. I have my brony lineup card in front of me. Any new arrivals/departures?

My favorite scene was Suction-Cup Spider-Pinkie. So, a character who can outrun Rainbow Dash, appear in two places at once, and appear inside a mirror, can't climb walls without some assistance? Who knew?

@Syd Oh, she could, but it'd be FUNNIER if she had to use suction cups. -_-

Except she summoned the succion cup out of thin air. I guess it counts as a super-power.

Offscreen Teleportation won't get you to the ceiling. It will get you to wherever you're storing said suction-cup shoes. Why does she just has those laying around?

Now I'm imagining her as a cartoonish cat-burglar, scaling walls then abusing blind spots in security cameras to sneak around.
