Sisterhooves Social also has bridles in the background being worn by mannequins.

Bridled mannequins are in a few episodes, actually. Twilight even comments on them in "Swarm of the Century":

The odd thing is, all those mannequins had on were bridles and fancy saddles. How's that gorgeous compared to a Pimped Out Dress? Maybe the writers and the animators weren't on the same page... (EDIT: On the other ~~hand~~ hoof, this is Twilight, who was delighted with her simple & practical dress in "Sweet and Elite"...)

I should note that this was the same scene where Rarity was making Rainbow Dash dress in style. Rainbow's lucky that Twilight came in and distracted them with parasprites

I guess Rarity has some pretty colourful tastes, hahaha.

This must be like the Discworld troll culture, where they normally don't wear clothes, and any clothes not made for practical or ceremonial or rich-guy-showing-off nature tend to be for a more , er, colourful usage?

^That certainly seems to be the case. I imagine the fashion scene runs as much on Theiss Titillation Theory as it does on Pimped Out Dress.

While I do find that report in poor taste, ignorant, biased and close-minded, one should keep in mind that it's not supposed to be a serious news report.

In other news, I leave for a week to play Rome; Total War, and when I come back, the drama bomb has exploded and I missed all of it. Goddang, can't I leisurely slay some Gauls for a second without you guys imploding? Honestly, people take way too many negative emotions into this thread.

I'm not just talking about the fact it's Fox. Red Eye is supposed to be a show that pokes fun at recent news articles, rather then seriously reports them. While it is STILL in extremely poor taste and ignorant, at least they are not trying to sell it as the absolute truth.
