As far as the game discussion from 10+ pages back goes, I'm a programmer and have made lots of games in the past, so I may be able to help. My favorite genre is making impossibly difficult

I'm also a programmer, though I've never managed to actually finish a game before. My day job is working on practical applications, not games, so I don't get to do much game development.
