I guess it's hard to study dragons...without a big tank thing...
Tealove is best pony.

Basil seemed friendly, she should've asked him to stick around for a bit of observation.
I analyze "Geek Culture" here.

Whats the deal with Weekly Jump Magazine?
It's pronounced "Te-ah-low-ve"
I can only imagine what might happen if we snuck a copy of Sybil Vimes-Ramkin's textbook on Swamp-dragon illnesses into Twilight's library. Granted I doubt that any of it would apply to Draco Nobilis like Spike.
On the subject of dragons in MLP they do have a live specimen on them. I also wonder why/how Celestia got her hands on a dragon egg. Guess they're saving that for a future episode.
I chalk up the lack of knowledge on dragons being full grown dragons as far too dangerous to study and student reared dragons being released back into the wild once they become naturally too big to live with their masters.
And IMO I think Spike would not be so much affected that he was raised by a pony but more crushed to learn that his birth mother
abandoned him.......

If knowledge about dragons is so rare in Equestria then why does Zecora know so much about them? Are there just a lot more of them wherever zebras come from?
@Crowfall: Probably. That, or zebras are just have bigger balls when it comes to studying strange wildlife.
