I was actually considering finding him at the river. My other possibility was an abandoned mine shaft, but thats a little depressing. Think about if he were left there.

I was thinking, because Patch was raised by a pony, they (he/she? Which one?) they would be a lot cleaner and neater looking than a 'wild' dog.

Maybe it's common among high-ranking students of Celestia. Except not all dragons, maybe a mix of some other creatures.

Who do you think actually raised Spike? Did Twilight handle that, or did her parents take care of it? She was a little young to look after a baby dragon all on her own after all, especially with all her time taken up with studying.
