: I can see where you're coming from, but there is a publicity concern to deal with, as well. Slugbox's rules for commissions state that he won't draw men specifically because his female drawings gather more publicity and publicity is what sells commissions, prints and artbooks, which is a legitimate concern.

And no, I don't blame Spike for telling Pinkie what she wanted to hear, either.

@JT You can do it. It takes longer but little by little you can do it. I strongly recomed Drawing from the left side of the brain. Its very easy and there are even pdf versions online an "10 monute drawing techniques" only take 10 minutes per class (minus homework)

I wonder if The gang consciously chose to not tell Spike about the party because they were afraid that he'd blab?

If so then that backfired horrifically. If he knew about the party then he would've known what Pinkie was going on about and would've probably handled the situation better

@Red: I'm not saying to not give up on the fanservice entirely; it just bugs me that a lot of artists would rather draw half-assed fanservice than put more effort into their drawings. With emphasis on the half-assed. I have no complaints about well-drawn fanservice. It's not so much that it's fanservice, but that I think some artists substitute fanservice for actual effort because they know that people are going to like it anyway. Then again, I'm a big believer in Doing It for the Art, so it might just be me.

I've met 3 bronies at my school. one was wearing a pinkie shirt, one was discussing the season 2 premire in class, and the other (who happens to be my crush) i hear talking to a boy about the episode party of one. the pinkie shirt one is a girl, while the season 2 one was a dude. who makes dirty jokes.

It's not heinous, it just kills me to see the wasted potential. And again, I've got nothing against fanservice, I just wish that artists would put as much effort into it as they do into their non-smut art.

I ran into a bunch of Malaysian bronies in December while in the Orchard area, and met some SG bronies at AFA 2011.

One of my buddies living in Marine Parade is also a brony and he plays EVE Online. Makes me wonder if there's a corp or alliance for bronies on EVE.
