tbh... I wouldn't want Discord to return without his godlike powers.

To me, they were a part of him. It'd be like taking away Twilight's magic or RD's ability to fly.

What made Discord so great (imo at least) was the juxtoposition between his demeanour and his competence/abilities.

On the scale of Antagonistic Threat, I think The Flim Flams are gonna fall somewhere in between Trixie and the DD. An active threat in some way (taking the farm), but not an actual DANGER to any of the ponies.
