I'd rather not let shipping infect canon. That would be awful.

Not sure what other tropes could use pony pictures.

Green Isn't Your Color made me pair Fluttershy and Rarity in my head...

Oh, hey, reading back I never rated my favorites, did I?

Hmm, well. Flutter, Pinkie, Twilight, Applejack and Rainbow tie, and Rarity. Though the top five are extremely close. Rarity's still my least favorite though, but again, I blame my hate of fashion for that. It's more of an irrational aversion, but I do want to like her. Just can't relate as well as the others because, seriously, fashion. what. But she is funny.

Speaking of, Rarity's face after Flutter goes off on the fashion rant could probably qualify for Heroic BSOD? I dunno.

I don't ship ponies. I absolutely don't. In fact, just the idea of ponies doing anything more intimate than hugging feels very weird to me, and while romance is obviously possible without getting physical, that does seriously crimp things. So that's why I don't ship.

...but if I did ship, I'd ship Appledash.

Call me crazy, but it might be a better idea to just find the best image for the trope, rather than try to shoehorn ponies in there.

I like Rarity because she's aesthetics-conscious and not vapid.

I remember Rarity being my least favorite in the beginning of the season. She just seemed so "Wow, girly character that likes fashion" to me. The episode I started to like her a lot more in was "Look Before You Sleep". I really liked how she wasn't a snotty bitch or anything, she's just the OCD prim and proper type of character. Then she autimatically became my favorite pony in "Suited For Success", because she worked so damn hard just to satisfy her friends when they were being extremely picky and kind of inconsiderate for a moment. They weren't even paying her, and she worked days and nights to get them perfect for them, and they shot her down. It really displayed her generosity (her element of harmony, of course) that I had never seen so fiercely until this episode. And she's one of the only characters on TV these days that show that true beauty comes from the heart, and Rarity isn't just beautiful on the outside. She's generous and a workoholic that tries her best to make her dream come true by being a perfectionist, and that shows her inner beauty as well.

And I'm not a trendy girly girl at all, I just like wearing comfy nice clothing. And I'm usually not even into girly characters in TV shows, but the 3 girliest ponies of the mane cast are my top 3 faves. Go figure.

Also, Rarity's laugh makes me laugh my ass off every time. Also her funny facial expressions. And "How coooooooulllddd yooouuu!"

[down]EDIT: The episode IS "Look Before You Sleep". Thanks Anonymous User.

on Rarity, I'm going to agree with my fellow tropers, she is the girliest pony but works her tail off which finds me having more and more respect for her, she also shows compassion and quite a bit of savvy, especially with how she handled the Diamond Dogs and how she recruited spike to dig for he, and instead of giving him the smallest puniest gem like other spoiled brats might she gave him payment in a rather large one, an wasn't too upset when after his big haul he ate another one.

[up][up][up]I never tough I would ever like a character like rarity ever. I agree what makes her stand out of your typical Libby is that she is not only pretty on the outside but also on the inside. She is hard working , and willing to sacrifice herself for others.

Prince blueblood is the jerk she isn't.

Anyone who watches The Stare Master or Suited for Success can see just how much work Rarity puts into her craft. She puts her sweat, blood and tears into her outfits.

She's not a trend follower.

She's a trend SETTER

She's an artist. In both senses of the word.

That's why we love her so.

That, and Tabitha ST. Germain is easily the most entertaining voice actress in the cast.

Speaking of Tabitha, you bronies may be interested in listening to this. http://trevordevall.com/?p=41

Voice actor by the name of Trevor Devall has a podcast where he interviews fellow voice actors in his closet. He lives in Vancoucer so for the most part he interviews people who also work out of Stargate City. In this episode he talks with Tabitha St. Germain. (Note this took place in March of 2008 so there isn't any Pony related stuff.)
