...and after reflection, I wonder if ending up as an human in Equestria wouldn't end better for us. It would both let us meet the Princesses (and the Mane 6, if you manage to be spotted by one of them first), keep us from explaining our awkwardness ("I'm not from this world" explains a lot) and keeping us from all the trouble of adapting to a pony's body.

Hm... I hadn't considered pony names. Neither my real name nor my forum name would exactly help me blend in there. Maybe I could come up with a name that's a close approximation of one or the other? But then again a big pony tends to be very thick around the middle, so Keg might actually work for that.

And I'm rather concerned about people making claims on the CMC, unless this is simple a friendship thing and I'd been misunderstanding it. If it is simply friendship I totally call dibs on Sweetie. And I guess Rarity by Proxy as well.

Relationship wise I'd probably hop the first train to Appleloosa and see just how hospitable Braeburn really is~. Not sure who I'd go for in town. Probably just wander around and see who seems nice. Maybe Junebug, she was cute. Or Allie Way.

That's what I figured too.

We'd probably cause a lot of panic though.

I don't know what my name would be...I do like to write, maybe a name related to that? Script, perhaps?

@Ginger: Wait until dawn in some hidden place, then go to Ponyville and knock at some door. You'll make one panicked pony, but...Outside of directly trying to get into Canterlot and getting caught, I don't really see any better way ^^'

I don't know, that just makes me feel even more uncomfortable. I just don't see how a role can evolve from a protector into a lover. After a certain point the actual age difference is negligible, but it just feels icky to me.

In all seriousness, though... in a bind, I'd probably end up giving a Line-of-Sight Name. If I had time to think about it, though... "Sunset" sounds nice.

I'd hope to be a peg (although considering all three races have what would qualify for super powers on Earth, I'm sure I could manage being any). I'd would, of course, really like to meet Twi (plus any of the other main six). Although I'd probably end up wandering off and exploring after a bit (especially if I could fly).

EDIT: Forgot the name thing. I'd take my ponysona's. Although if, for some reason, I didn't end up a peg, that'd throw a wrench into that and I'd have to improvise a bit.

Myself as a pony in Equestria...? Huh, that's a tough one.

I guess I'd be a Unicorn or a very wimpy Pegasus with badass name to compensate. Rather quiet individual, asocial as well... Pinkie would get annoying fast with her partying antics. Also, since I'm still not an adult, I guess I'll need to go to pony school(or high school, if they happen to have some).

The real problem is work. I can't bake anything, I'm not too smart, not strong enough to buck apples, I have no idea how to look after animals or make clothes... Guess I'll end up as a writer, using everything I know about our world and turning it into some serious fantasy thing.

Also, I guess no mare would want a stallion with so horribly ugly muzzle. I guess I would try to achieve BFF's instead with Twilight(Since we both seem to be similiar in personality) or Rarity(I guess she could appreciate some good writing).

Then again, it will never happen. Oh well, guess we can stop at planning.

I'd prolly focus on either my technical, mechanical, or artsy talents if I got pony'd.

I also would not be surprised if Pinkie knew where we came from.

Like I said, the best thing for us to do to make money was get together and make a traveling storytelling/performing toupe. With all the stories we know that ponies never heard of, we'd be a hit.

That's a great idea. And it's a good excuse to travel the country.

That may be the best possible situation, yes. Come as a human, meet the princesses and explain them who you are and stuff, then get turned into a pony to fit in. That would allow you to be both close to the Princesses and a humble pony ! :D

Staying human would be better, if that doesn't make everypony around scared. They were terrified of a zebra, I'm quite sure a human would cause some severe cases of heart attack.

I'll try to be discreet so the ponies don't get scared. As long as you don't shock them too badly, I have confidence the ponies won't stay scared of you.

You know, I think this is the kind of universe where you get turned one day into a pony, make friends, turn back into a human and keep your friends^^

No issue, just seems like a odd topic for a pony thread (I ship eventual Reneseme/Jacob after all)

Also I would be asked to be turned into a pony in a heart beat, a unicorn, and then I would do everything and anything I could to find my Cutie Mark.

Then I would hit on Caramel.

I'd ask to have it done by Controlled Polymorph while wearing an Amulet of Unchanging, then, because most Polymagic comes with basic instructions to help you acclimatize to a new shape.

Ugh, I'm getting Sword In The Stone flashbacks. Remember the squirrel scene? Where a female squirrel falls in love with Squirrel!Arthur and gets heartbroken when she discovers that he's actually a human?

I could imagine something similar happening if we were turned into a ponies. We might end up crushing some young mares hearts (not me obviously, all the handsome guys in this thread)

Not being able to instantly acclimatize is part of the fun though. You'd need someone (perhaps a member of the mane cast) to help you out initially
