I really hope the writing for
Turnabout Storm is as good as for the actual series (though it seems unlikely; the mysteries in that series are
intense). If that's the case, then clues that obvious are most definitely red herrings, and the authors are playing on the fandom's dislike of Gilda to cause them to leap to conclusions.
