Hm, favorite of the Mane Ponies is either Twilight Sparkle or Rainbow Dash. I know, real original.

Favorite background pony though is Lyra. I <3 Lyra, in all her lazy sitting glory.

Snips and Snails are just Idiot Ball players, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are just a pair of bitches, and Prince Blueblood needs to get bent.

Also, which pony of the mane cast is your least favorite? It's a toughie for me but I think it'd be...hmm...maybe Applejack? I love her and all, but I don't find her as interesting as the oher ponies. But I love 'em all anyway.

I'd agree. While saying that Applejack is a 'flat' character is like saying a Nimitz-class carrier is a 'boat', she does have the least amount of fleshing out amid the rest of the cast

No points for guessing my favorite of the main ponies.

Though really, it's hard to pick a single "favorite", because I like them all so much. Except maybe Applejack, she's kinda "meh" to me for some reason.

Wow seriously? I thought I was going to get attacked or something for saying Applejack was the least interesting to me. I just feel like she needs more characterization than "the hard working pony that loves everything that has to do with apples". I think we should see a side of her that has nothing to do with the farm or apples.

I know everyone is madly in love with Rainbow Dash, but I felt like she was too much of a stereotypical tomboy at first until later in the season. The Gala episode made me like her a lot more for some reason.

yeah apple jaclo neds more characeteisation. But We have seen another side of her in the cutie mark cirsaders. She was once like rarity.

My ranking would go Twilight, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash = Applejack, Pinkie Pie = Rarity. And even then, they're all really close in ranking. If I were to try to go by a 1-6 scale like you guys, but using it more as a score scale than a numbered ranking, it would probably look like this: 1 Twilight 1.3 Fluttershy 1.5 Rainbow + AJ 1.6 Pinkie + Rarity

Although like others mentioned above, AJ doesn't get enough love from the production team, so she's in danger of having Rainbow overtake her ever so slightly.

Well yeah, but I feel like we need to see more of her personality, other than working and apples. Like how all of he other mane cast wanted something amazing to look forward to at the Gala, and all Applejack wanted to do was sell apples. At the biggest party of the year. Sell apples. I just want to know more about applejack herself and her emotions, not just how she likes apples.

I don't know, I just feel like the Gala episode showed Rainbow Dash in a different way. For once, she was flustered and tried her best just to be a part of her dream come true. I knowweve seen that before, but she almost seemed insecure at some points when she wanted them to notice her. She was no longer just a tomboy wanting to run around, she was a pony with a heart and a soul.

Am I the only one that finds characters more appealing when they have flaws and show a deep hidden emotion?

It's a tie between Applejack and Rainbow Dash for me. Both for their personalities. And their accents are just TOO CUTE~!

Nope, it's the same for me too: they're definitely more relatable when they show their flaws. Part of the reason that Twilight and Fluttershy are my top two, aside from their moments of awesome/heartwarming in the show is that I see a lot of my own characteristics in them, flaws included.

EDIT: Argh, no one posts in between me and I manually mess up the arrow count. *facehoof*
