@Badwolf: Magic-based fire is impossible to smother with lack of oxygen because the fire is caused by mana rapidly undergoing energy state change at a cascading rate, producing immense light and heat.

Mana being converted as fuel by the Phoenix, being transitioned to a state useable for its ressurection.

Funny thing about that, as detailed on the Discworld in Carpe Jugulum, Phoenix-fire will not harm those who are truly good. Also, Fluttershy has a Phoenix Pinion now. Cue Final Fantasy joke about her having a revival item on hoof.

There is a method to prevent a Phoenix from resurrecting, but it requires you to be able to program in Python.

@Ginger: Pinions are flight feathers, down is the soft feathers from the chest and underbelly often used for stuffing pillows.

There's no reason why AJ should accept this bet. What do the brothers have that's worth almost losing their home over? That's why I think it's gonna involve AJ (and possibly the rest of the family) rushing into this bet without thinking things through because their family was insulted or something
