My only saving grace is that I'm sure it was done via commission. She didn't come up with the idea herself.

Doesn't change the fact that she ACCEPTED the job but it still makes me SLIGHTLY more willing to forgive her. Since the rest of her art is awesome

What's slightly more bothersome is that it sort of calls to light just how... popular, the CMC are. And while they're ponies it's not so bad (though still unnerving), when they're humanized it's gone far too far.

eh, everyone needs to eat. You can't really fault someone for making something a little bit off if it's just for a paycheck - after all, there are plenty of jobs that are just unseemly work.
