Rainbow is more agile and all-round fit, while Applejack has more stamina and strength, especially in her legs, which helps to narrow the gap in agility.

Are you completely forgetting the fact that AJ can run evenly with RD on land.

In a boxing match she couldn't fly

Also, no. She can't use her wings. That'd be like a guy boxing with 4 arms, and RD would have to willingly sign herself up and commit herself to the rules if she wanted to compete

That's speed, almost useless in a Boxing match. Agility is completely different and Rainbow outclasses AJ there.

AJ would win hooves down, she's got better strength and stamina then RD, The fight would start out looking like it's in RD's favor, with her getting in lots of hits and avoid most of AJ's with her better agility and speed, but eventually she'd start getting tired long before her hits started to wear down AJ, at which point AJ would knock her back to the paleo-pony-period.

She'd trick Screamer into crashing into something and clipping his wings, then buck his head off. The Null-ray won't even phase her since it's a pure anti-mech weapon.
