I personally think the groups should be equal, though that's just my opinion.

If I may continue with my Smoke Screen idea, I'll try to explain his relationship with the others

Check Up: Smoke Screen is pretty close to him because of their similar lines of work. He respects Check Up's skills and would have no qualms saying he is the best doctor in Equestria. However they tend to but heads when lives are at stake, and Check Up's cynicism tends to grate on him (I imagine Smoke Screen being more idealistic in the sense that he is big on honor, duty and those sort of things).

Chuckles: He used to not think much of Chuckles, but over time he has grown to admire Chuckle's dedication to his craft and has even lended him a hoof in aid on more then one occasion. Smoke Screen tends to "get" him more then the others do.

Foil!Twilight(Forgot his name): Thinks he is completely out of his gourd and is quite vocal about it. He sometimes gets into arguments over Foil!Twilight's theories but they don't last long and always end with Smoke Screen walking away with an exasperated sigh.

Pig Iron and Big Rig:. . .I don't know. Drinking buddies I guess? I'll need to think about that more later.

so he's the Mc Coy to check up's Spock? That's great!

The Stare, yes, just yes.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders= Win, adorable, adorable win.

I love how Rarity dosen't get angrey at all with C Cs, just exasbrated. And how Fluttershy braves the Everfreeforest for them without even thinking of turning back.

In other news: Not much to say about episode 18, C Cs where really cute again, it's blatant what all their talents are supposed to be, and TS is exapsrated. Pretty strong episode.

I just remembered something else.

Smart Cookie makes a big deal about Puddinghead not taking the door, but she was completely justified. After all, the door had a huge snowdrift in front of it and was completely unpassable.

One of the show's animators/animation directors (confirmed to be from behind the scenes) has said a few things about "Baby Cakes":

• He really likes the episode, but others won't.
• The episode is centered on one pony, for the most part. (Later revealed by the episode's synopsis to be Pinkie Pie.)
• The episode used to be 212, during production at least. (First revealed by Zap2it.)

well yeah, but she didn't know that at the time. Puddinghead just didn't mention it because... well, she was puddinghead.

Okay... so we know not much new about it? the notion that some people wouldn't like it seemed to be a "No accounting for tastes" issue more than anything. Still, if one of the showrunners likes it a lot there's good hope there.

Interesting. The polarization is pretty obvious if the episode is going to be heavily Pinkie focused. I'll reserve any judgement until I can actually watch the thing.

I'm guessing that some of the polarization will come from the twin toddlers, too.

Most likely. This is probably going to be a Love It or Hate It episode. I'm trying not to get too psyched about it. I've been waiting for a "Pinkie has to be responsible" episode since forever, and I don't want to Hype Backlash myself.
