@Ginger, I grew up on Looney Tunes so Pinkie is like a breath of fresh air. Her antics do not annoy, but rather make me laugh or facepalm lightly. It's hard to get angry at her when she's so cheerful.

@Mio, that defeats the purpose of it being an Ask a character blog. I will answer the questions, regardless, but seeing a low number makes me feel less stressed.

Pinkie's antics steal the spotlight (because she's the only one ALLOWED to do anything physics defyingly insane for the sake of comedy), and I feel like they clash with the mood more often than not.

but... as I said, I'm the only one in the entire FUCKING world who thinks that way!!

well Mousa, just keep it in perspective. 27 is a REALLY small number compared to say 5, 975, 187, 354, 795. SO just think, "it could be worse" :)

I actually agree with you Ginger. I mostly just ignore her antics, though she can get a bit grating.

@ Ginger I just look at it as Pinkie operates on a different rule set then the other ponies, (for the most part *thinks of Twilight's Anvil/piano/haycart incident*) And you just have to judge her actions as they apply to that paradigm versus how the pther ponies actions apply to theres, and not use just one rule set for all of them.

@Ginger, I just finished all me tea... 'Twas a delicious combination, Lemon, Raspberry and green tea.

But you kind of have to hold her to different standards, she's the comedy relief character and has to operate under a different set of rules in order to instil humor and good cheer.

All in good fun, Applelight, don't worry. Besides, if I am to grow as an artist i need to get out of my comfort zone. I was going to do that with the Rarity pinup after I got 25 followers, but ya know what? Sooner rather than later as they tend to say.

Because the animators need somepony to do all those really cartoony things they did in the Golden Age.

Seriously, I honestly don't like how Pinkie is supposed to be "different" either. I really have a hard time seeing her as a real character in this show despite the fact that the show insists that she is.

It's not like I don't like any of her comedy. I like her when she's bubbly and warm, rather than outright manic and motor mouthy.

I like the insanity of her mind rather than her actual actions. That bit when she was wearing the map over her face. I really liked that

Eh, Pinkie's antics really don't bug me that much; I'd honestly dislike it more if she wasn't the only one who did it. It doesn't fit the tone of the show, but limiting it to one character keeps it from feeling too out of place.
