You mean the time when she figured that further upsetting a god who had JUST gone on a massive tirade about not being respected was a good idea?

You missed the part where Pinkie and Dashie were the real heroes of the story. Without the scary butt fun the Nightmare Night would have been an expensive fair with masquerade and diabeetus.

Honestly, that's my main grip about Luna Eclipsed; the whole "everypony likes to be scared" came out of freaking nowhere; it causes the episode to make sense in retrospect there was no indication before that point that they were anything but legitimately terrified, especially at the point where they basically started a mass panic and wrecked the town. Pinkie I can buy, but the rest of the town seemed legitimately scared, not that they were just playing along.

That's true, but it doesn't change the fact that the episode basically went "Oh wait, actually they like being scared" at the end. Which is sad, because otherwise the episode was amazing.

Actually the area in question is either the Dock (the tail and base thereof) or the point of buttock (you can figure that one out on yur own). But saying 'Dat point of buttock' doesn't quite ring as well as 'Dat Plot'.

It probably looks very strange indeed to be googling horse anatomy in the middle of a lighting class.

I'm completely with JT. The moral of Luna Eclipsed was BULLSHIT!! It came out of nowhere, made no sense. It had to be TOLD to the party learning it (a bit like in the MMDW, Luna never figured out that the children enjoyed being scared until she was TOLD as such) Luna was just lead around by Twilight until she was force fed the moral in the end. (just like Dash was)

Luna did nothing wrong, and had no reason to believe otherwise

Just watched the episode. Pretty good, would've liked a longer song though.

The chancellor's incompetence made me wonder how earth ponies pick their leaders. And the heckler bit was pretty funny too.

It wasn't so much that it was a bad lesson, so much as the episode didn't demonstrate it. That and I don't think it was Luna that learned the lesson; the moral was more "It's cool to share the magic of friendship with others" which is perfectly fine. It's not so much the moral as the way the conflict of the episode was resolved.
