With or without warning, it's still strange to just come in. Even if I knew my parents were going to be visiting I'd still want them to knock first, rather than just coming in on their own.

I prefer using the Youtube version: 2/3 the size of the archives files and I don't have to convert then or download a .mkv compliant player.

@Jteeth: The youtube 360p and 720p videos are stored as MP4 files with the H.264 video codec, the 480p ones are Flash Video. Most media player software can easily read the mp4 files, and there's all sorts of free codec packs for the flv files. Otherwise, grab Handbrake or Media Converter or some other conversion software.

I grab mine using a Firefox plugin, youtubemp3 :D

Eh, ponyarchive is just the host, remember. The actual files are still out there, they'll just be a bit trickier to find. I'm sure Pirate Bay will have decent versions, or somewhere like that.

I just like downloading high-quality versions because it means I can stick them on my TV, and they look sexy-fine.

I'm well aware of that, it's just easier to cut out the middleman, as it were. And weirdly enough, I actually watched a few first season episodes in 270X480 resolution via my PS3, and they actually looked pretty decent. I was expecting them to be a lot more pixelated than they actually were.

Anyways I also got a hardcopy DVD of the Ticket Master that came with Applejack (it's in 480p, pixelly but free of compression artifacts).

I don't mind low-res as long as it doesn't have hideous jpeggy lossy compression artifacts everywhere aaaaaaaargh.

I would get a t-shirt but I already have too many. It seems like everywhere I go, I end up with a free t-shirt. And I have a lot from school clubs and summer camps and stuff too.
