How good is this On A Cross And Arrow? I remember reading a few chapters of it, found that it's Rule 63 self-cest, and since the writing didn't really salvage it for me I didn't continue. If it's improving then I might as well scan through it and see exactly why fandom touts this as one of the best shipping fics ever. *

Pinkie is capable of hate. Did you see her attack Spike with cake! I mean it was in self-defense but at that point I knew not to fuck with Pinkie Pie. Even in that sense.

Also Ginger is a tsundere.

@Crowwind, It's pretty well done and a fantastic concept, and to be fair the only selfcest is Fluttershy and Butterscotch and Rarity and Elusive *shudders*. It's not the main focus of the fic.

Good point. I weas actually pretty astonished at that scene, even though it was a Crowning Moment of Funny too. It was great character development for Pinkie.

Edit: You know what, I think I'm just going to drop that fic. I'm a sucker for anything romantic, but the premise is just too squicky for me.

I don't think Pinkie is capable of hate.

Pinkie isn't normally capable of hate, but her Discorded self hated everything.

Nope. I still say that was Pinkie Pie. Just because a character becomes unhinged does not mean you can consider them a different person.

I also only hated Pinkie during Luna, Eclipsed. And I suppose she may be somewhat capable of hate but it seems so out of place. I mean during SOME she wasn't really hating and being more defensive and it's pretty clear at this point that no matter the degree she never feels emotion in moderation.

Okay, so On A Cross and Arrow isn't that bad, though not really my cup of tea either. It would have been better if the genderbending change their personalities, because what else is the purpose of changing genders? You could argue that since Equestria seems so egalitarian gender probably doesn't have much effect on the ponies' personalities, but where's the fun in that?

I think the scene was cinched when Pinkie simply disappeared from their grasp with her fourth wall powers and was suddenly conversing with the chap. I was convinced the town would be torn apart right there.
