Maybe he just works himself too hard and his head gets fuzzy from stress and lack of sleep? I'm sure its a feeling we can all identify with.

OC crack pairing at its finest :V If it were to turn out as an unsuccessful pairup, then poor Bright Idea might end up having her first crush and heartbreak ;_; She'll then try to lose herself inventing things and it works a little too well.

Bri does not have too much of an opinion about unicorn spellcasting, but she loves their advanced magic textbooks for the complex equations and dry programming language that she wants to harness in magitek/thaumatech inventions.

At the start of her story, she's still at the Epic Fail stage where the components burn out more often than not. She needs stronger materials, and all those little loose numbers in her equations gotta be tightened up.

Unlike Twilight, she has no trusty assistant and thus her worklife is much like a Tony Stark minus Pepper Potts, keeping odd work hours and only surfacing to find food because she finally got too hungry to think straight. She even has a cot in the workshop so she can nap without leaving the workroom in case inspiration strikes while she's dreaming.

I think her character development should focus on her making at least a few friends and learning to live a more balanced life, among other things.

Pipsqueak is Cadence's child, visiting from Trottingham to meet the filly his parents arranged a marriage with. Unfortunately he's easily distracted and forgot her name, so he wanders Ponyville, forever trying to find out who his true and future love really is. His best guess so far is Luna.

Would Bright Idea end up going Tragic Mad Scientist if she suffers from Cutie Mark Failure Madness? I can see her with angry tears and making scary stuff while muttering how she'll show everypony what for.

edit: somebrony has discovered they really like ponies wearing goggles and commented as such on my ponibooru upload. I have been hit by how inescapeable Rule 36 can be.

Bright Idea needs a good friend, seriously. I wonder what kind of scenario would play out if she ever moved into Ponyville (apart from the standard Pinkie Pie's Welcome Party, which is always a given.)

Just figuring out how Bright Idea might snap if she falls into Despair, perhaps after having one of her masterpiece inventions being rejected or worse still, mocked. It would fall headlong into a big vat of High Octane Nightmare Fuel if there's nopony willing to help her out of her sorrow-induced madness.

It didn't seem like he expected them to panic so wildly and I can imagine living in he same town as them long enough would get on anybody's nerves.

Dashie might find it amusing if Bright Idea ever manages to make some kind of flight-enabler like, oh, I don't know, a jetpack, perhaps? It'd be even funnier if it runs out of juice while she's over a large pond and she falls in. Mechanical ornithopter-style wings would be really ungainly unless they were partially magitech.

The Flower Trio must go through an awful lot of stress medicine or something. Maybe they're the other big customers of the Spa Rarity frequents in order to try and relax.

I dunno, depends on how Dashie treats Bri. It's not like she has no sense of humor.

If Dashie managed to become a good friend, Bri would laugh along or something. If they weren't on good terms, Bri might get upset at least for a bit. If Bri was having a really bad day, the laughter might just be the straw that broke her saddlebags.

I can see how a set of glider wings would be rather fun for a non Pegasus pony. And I can totally see Pnkie Pie getting a kick out of it.

I've had another idea,

each one of the squad is atoning for something;

The Singing Knight: Flung into the future (i.e Present) by the spell of an evil donkey witch he was in the process of vanquishing. Confused and terrified, he ran into a nearby town seeking answers. They tried to have him arrested as a crazy pony...so he broke out into song...the town was destroyed in the process. As punishment (and just to keep his powers in check), he has to perform missions as part of...the Squad.

The Inventor: Haven't worked it out yet...but it'll be bad too.
