Oh, I think Horses should definately have access to the Opera Artillery Ability...it requires training and talent of course...but how else will they defeat big monsters that they can't beat to death?

What does everyone think about Golems? I'd think that the base might have to be built by and Earth Pony and then a Unicorn casts a Come To Life spell on it and boom, Golem. Though that method would mean a Golem would always have two masters, the one who created its body andd the one who gave it life.

Perhaps Big Mac has heard Luna sing a few times too many. Nowadays, he can't really hear what other ponies are saying to him, but he figures "Eeyup" and "Nope" replies should about cover it.

In actuality, Horses are not all-out agressive, although they have a strong sense of warrior tradition, leftovers from their past as soldiers for ancient Equestria. They prefer to be left alone, but trade ocassionaly with Earth Ponies (and any other equine race - except Pegasi and Unicorns) for what they lack.

Diplomacy is much preferred, but if you back them into a corner? It's so on, it cannot be turned off. Hope you like being kicked, trampled and tossed aside by a ton of enraged animal. A ton of Horse smashing into you at 40 miles an hour is going to leave a mark...

No, they would never think of fighting with Equestria. Equestria has two Alicorns on the throne, and Horses stil retain a deep sense of ingrained reverence and respect for them, even though they've been isolated (by choice? by force? I havent decided) from much of Equestria for over a thousand years.

I'm going to have them prostrate themselves to Twlight, as she has a horn, one of the Symbols of Royalty. Then they get confused when they don't see any wings. Or something. That scene is frustrating me right now.

Maybe horses could have the ultimate tail control power as well?

Holy crap, I just pictured a horse in barding armour weilding a gaint fail...like the Witch King! A fail with a head larger than an apple cart!

Yeah, tail control would make sense.

Plus, full-plate barding with a lance built into it for charges. Swivels out of the way with the flick of their tail.

Dimly visible upon the chest of the barding: A stylized Sun and Moon logo. or whatever crest preceeded Celestia and Luna's reign. Some ancient but-still-recognizable symbol. The tri-peak crown thing that the Royal Sisters wear...?

If a horse weighs a ton or more...how heavy is a pony?

And I just realised that in a fight, only Twilight could remotely hope to stand a chance against them...unless the others start thinking with their brains.

I think Rainbow Dash could take a horse. She's pretty strong and agile. And if all else fails she could Nuke 'Em.

Only really really really big horses can break a ton.
