Okay... do all dragons grow this way, in the span of one day, controlled by greed? I know that looks consistent, but the dragon we saw earlier only hoarded gems, not anything he can get his claws on. Also, we saw two dragons talk as well as shout roars- so why can't Spike do that?

I'm assuming a dragon's mind calms down a while after they reach full size. Spike had uncontrollable hormones flooding through him. No wonder he went crazy

Also, the episode makes it seem like Spike is better off being his regular size. But the thing is, that's NOT his "regular size"! He's just going to grow up that way again one day, and who knows how difficult it will be for him to continue aiding Twilight and stay with his friends!

@Boobus: Pretty much; all that actually happened was that Rarity found out about the crush and a bunch of people went "SPIKE/RARITY CONFIRMED".
