Neither was drinking out of somethign that looks suspiciously similar to a wineglass, but that didn't stop them. XD Similar situation.

Only to the older audience; there's nothing inheretly sexual about it. It's only sexual if she's in a stripper outfit or something. Completely child appropriate. If you mean it could possibly be taken as sexual, well, that goes for a whole lot of things in the show.

The idea of a trans-species pony is a pretty interesting one, actually. I sincerely doubt it though; if a pony could change their race, they'd all end up being alicorns. Though I have the image of an earth pony 'faking it' by wearing a fake horn, or something. And he freaks out whenever somepony asks him to do magic.

Ooh! I can add that to another idea I had about an earth pony foal who gets depressed because all his friends are pegasi and unicorns, and he doesn't feel 'special' at all.

Do you think that's ever going to come up in the show? I mean, it seems like they've got the perfect dynamic right there to give the kids an 'everyone is special' moral. But then, that's probably what the cutie marks are for...

Say, there's a though for a Family Unfriendly Aesop: They meet a pony without a cutie mark, and the moral of the episode is "some people just aren't special".

Same with the cake thing; there's nothing sexual about it unless said girl is in a kinky outfit. Which I technically don't even think is possible for ponies in the first place; I doubt body parts excite them since they are used to seeing each other in the nude. They probably have a different form of seeing something as arousing.

Anyway, no, no it's not sexual in that situation. It would remind the adults of a situation where something similar happens sexual wise, but that's merely putting in a joke only the adults will understand; there's nothing that would 'corrupt' a kid there, so it's child appropriate.

There was an innocent version of Spike bursting out of a cake, come to think of it. Well, it's more he tunneled into the cake and didn't understand why Twilight was mad at him.

I'm gonna assume she was mad because he was hogging the cake.

Um, I don't know about you, but I think clothes can, ahem, ADD to a woman's attractiveness and be more pleasing than nudity

I know, it can probably make them look prettier. I was referring specifically to sexual outfits; I don't see how that would titilate males since they see everything about the females everyday, so showy outfits wouldn't affect them.

@kegisak: That would be a great CMC episode actually. Sweetie Belle starts learning magic, and Scoots finally starts flying, leaving Applebloom all depressed. Then she learns a valuable lesson. Or, more interestingly, starts learning voodoo magic from Zecora.

I was thinking somehow it would be impossible for a pony who wasn't born an alicorn to be one, like some force from within would be able to tell if a pegasus had both wings and a horn and wouldn't allow the horn to work with the wings.

I have a theory that ponies are like trolls: Because they don't normally wear clothes, more clothing is more attractive to them. It seems strange and exotic to them, so it's alluring.

yeah, but if that's the case that force would probably keep them from being anything different to begin with. It would have that single species 'programmed' into it, so even if they got new parts they wouldn't be able to use them right.
