I think that the only part I was the most critical about. I understand that they wanted to have Rainbow Dash learn a lesson in humility, but yanking the dog's chain by revealing that Mysterious Mare Do Well can fly too was not the way to go. Another scene where Mare Do Well upstages Rainbow Dash in flying would have done it. Sure, Fluttershy naturally can't outfly Rainbow Dash, but we've already seen her do impressive flying when the stakes are high (Return of Harmony Part 2).

I liked Snips being a little more sensible than Dash in this episode. Maybe that will put some of the hate for the character aside.

People have been saying that practically once an episode somewhere, though this episode has been pretty Base Breaky I still don't think its as bad as the backlash from Lesson Zero (at least on Eq D).

Weird, I've seen nothing but love for that episode (including from me.)

There was some pretty severe backlash from some people on Equestria Daily when it initially came out, but it seems that the "neighsayers" have been drowned out by the people who have been singing its accolades.

I got to say, I didn't really like this episode. Or the one before it.

Not sure why, but it sort of rubbed me the wrong way. Ah, well, can't all be winners.
