I basically can't imagine how anyone could sympathize more with Dash than with Applejack there. I mean, AJ starts off disadvantaged because of innate racial inferiority and then loses a contest of strength - her supposed specialty.

To be fair, Twilight wasn't necessarily born with super innate talent. I'm sure at least part of it is due to her interest in studying at a young age.

That's because we still need AJ episode. Other ponies had more screen time and have more things.

They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.

Come to think of it, I don't remember AJ doing anything particularly impressive. Then again, the only time I was really impressed was when Twilight calmed the Ursa Major Minor down.

One of RD's biggest CMOA is the Rainnuke, which is performed in an episode where she barely appears. AJ doesn't NEED to be the focus to do something awesome. The writers just don't give a shit about her

It just seems hard to make AJ stand out,

Twilight has unlimited magical potential,

Rainbow Dash has awesome flying skills,

Fluttershy has the ability to make monsters roll over,

Rarity has decent magical ability and supprisingly good athletic skills, plus she's crafty

Pinkie Pie has cartoon powers, and is seemingly fearless of ghosts and spooks.

But...A Dog And Pony Show showed that in a fight, AJ is capable of taking the lead.

We need a big fight!
