I'd like to see pet adoption advocates use parts of this song, especially Fluttershy's verses earlier in it. Who's with me?

EDITED IN: Well, with the lyrics altered, of course, if only to be less MLP-specific.

I don't think they'd take kindly to rejecting pets for not being cool.

You forget, Ginger, I don't "ship".

[up][up] Oh yeah, right. My apologies

I love how that's your problem. Not the underage thing [lol]

[up][up][up][up] The episode condemns that, though.

And I didn't mean to use the whole song, though granted I should have made that clearer...

@ Ginger, what can I saw? I can hardly recall a time when a romance has added nothing to a story or made it worse. Look no further than Avatar The Last Airbender.

Besides, it's difficult to consider Spike a "proper" baby.

[up] It's true, usually I'm very averse to shipping (the only times I've EVER shipped outside of this series were Allen/Road from D. Gray-Man and Kyon/Nagato from Haruhi)

For some reason, I'm just more comfortable with shipping in this show. Only in fics and such though. I've never thought of any pairings as canon

I'm only comfortable with the concept for the sake of humor. I think I've mentioned before I'm fine with almost anything as long as it makes a fantastic joke.

I like the lack of romance in this show. Same with One Piece. Romance is boring. [up] Rarity/Blueblood counted as a joke, right? Because that was funny.

I'm not big on shipping either. Usually I find romantic subplots to be boring and a waste of time.

[up][up][up] Me too. I would say the REAL reason why I like shipping but I'm afraid that that would get me kicked out of here. [lol]

In the context of the actual show though, I'm happy that there's no romance

Owlowicious and that other owl are the only good couple that's not canon.

Shipping can be good, but it needs to have a pretty good purpose. Like, either the focus of the plot, or giving the characters in question some development and growth. It's romance simply for the sake of romance I dislike.

I wouldn't want romance to be a huge spotlight in the show, but I wouldn't mind otherwise.

It's been over a hundred pages since I last checked in.[lol] Not surprised; quite frankly I expected much much more. What have I been doing all this time? Studying and SKYRIM, that's what's been occupying me!tongue

@New Episode; the beginnings of it didn't seem all that good for me (didn't really like the song *shot dead*), and I was kinda expecting it to be one of my 'ugh' episodes, like the last one, but then when the competition started it started to make me laugh, so it gets an A from me.

[up]If I had to say yes or no to 2 characters becoming an item or not, I'd look at the plausibility. If it seemed like it would happen naturally, then I wouldn't have a right to say no to it, whether or not it did anything positive to the plot. I wouldn't let it become a negative, though.

-Mr. Nomura, are you trolling your fanbase?

Nomura: Maybe. That is a plot point and I want fans to speculate. *laughs.*

Romance is boring.
Not necessarily, there's a sentimental appeal to it if done right. Sometimes the romantic parts of a story are among the ones I anticipate the most.

That said, it's probably best that there's not that much focus on it what with this being a children's show and all.

[up][up][up].............Skyrim.evil grin I'm so horrible.[lol]

[up][up]For a kids show, comedy would probably be the best thing to do with it, with a little bit of heartwarming mixed in for the adults. That's what I would do anyway.

@Boobustuber, My friend tried to use my ignorance (It's been months since I was properly caught up with One Pace) to shill his Luffyx Nami shipping. I knew better of Oda.

Yes, Rarityx Blueblood would be a joke to remember. Make the scenario as funny as possibly and you'll have me hook line and sinker.

I know I've said it before, but Romance is what I dread the most in ANY form of media. I get enough romance from my fiends, my peers, my co workers (hah, spoken as if I have a job)I don't need it showing up in my movies as well.

I never saw the appeal

[up]I kinda get what you mean; when I see a good-looking teen book, I pick it up and see if it says ANYTHING about romance in the summary. If it does, I walk. Just ONCE I wanna see a protagonist who is explicitly stated to not be interested in romance. That's on my list of to-do's for if I ever write a book, in fact, right next to having a female protagonist that ISN'T a prude or a ***** or stoic.

I mean, wouldn't having an asexual protagonist be refreshing? Especially if the side characters have romances, so it's not just a choice for the book, but just one for the protagonist. It would be unheard of in today's teen market!

I think romance always makes a story better. Of course, I'm at that time in life where I'd really like a little romance but none is available.

I want a girlfriend too, but watching other people get together and be happy isn't gonna make me feel any better about it. It just makes me tired of it
