Hopefully she learnt her lesson from that.

She was all set to pick her friends based on mostly-superficial requirements, then the tortoise saved her feathers and reminded her that true friends are there to help in times of trouble.

It could have been worse, she might have been stuck for a day or more until her friends found out and went to look for her.

Well, I disapprove of pet-hunting the way RD did it.

Silly Dashie, tortoises are pretty hardcore, especially if you teach them to shell-slide like Bowser does in Melee and Brawl.

I really don't like how the flying contraption looks on Tank. It's not a very appealing character design, so I hope they eventually design some other way Tank can keep up with his owner.

I'm not at work today, but I'm watching Gurren Lagann with some friends, so I'll have to wait to catch the new episode. I'm not sure how I feel about delaying true quality with more true quality, but...

Also, regarding Hearth's Warming Eve: if the scheduling matches up and it really is episode 13, then they'll probably show it twice like they did with the other major holiday episode - "Luna, Eclipsed" - airing the episode on the 17th and the 24th of December.

It's pretty hilarious the number of people on Eq D calling this episode Toyetic.

Also I saw someone point out that Dash's initial motivations for having a pet (status symbol, bandwageoning) are the same reasons many people in real life get a pet (though the competition was pure Dash).
