Well, with Sweet Apple Massacre that involved children literally being raped to death. I can see where that would be wiped out as opposed to Cupcakes.

Not sure what it is, but Cupcakes is just hilarious.

It's the organ puns that do it for me. Because puns are the highest form of comedy (shut up they are) and it was actually somewhat in-character for Pinkie Pie, strangely enough.

Romance Reports got cut for being too close to porn for comfort. Sweet Apple Massacre got banned under the "no-pedophilia" guidelines because the CMC were involved. Cupcakes is still around because 1. quality is not a criteria for removal and 2. while it's extremely gory it isn't pornographic.

@Mio: I think what they mean isn't that "This behavior is consistent with how she's portrayed on the show" but "the voice of the character is accurately captured". It's a fine line, but there's a distinction that a lot of people don't bother to note.

With how flexible Pinkie's characterization in the name of comedy I'm honestly not sure if people really don't mean the both the former and the latter.

Well thank god I never read Cupcakes and never will read it at this point in time. Although Turnabout Storm just had it as a reference so there was no harm done there. As for the others, I can't really say but I'm gonna give it the "Not gonna ever read it" sign like I did with Cupcakes so yeah. Actually I'm gonna ban myself from ever reading dark fanfics regarding this show. Well...the Castlevania one I might take a look at but the others, fuck that noise completely.

Pinkie also varies a bit from episode to episode, so it's subjective. Though obviously she'd never do anything like Cupcakes.

@Star. Just because a fic is dark, doesn't mean it's grim dark. Some of the best in the fandom is quite dark but very hopeful.
