For my crew I put the youngest at 17 and the oldest at 23.

^^^ Where on Earth, Equestria, or Canterlot High are you getting the idea that the age discussion has anything to do with that? FFS, they're cartoon horses. I think age of consent is pretty low on the list of concerns for anyone fantasizing about them.

That's not the point. I'm saying we don't need hints or Word Of God on who's older. We watch this show for the fun, not to find age! Before the "Griffon the brush-off" episode, I thought of Pinkie as the oldest, and GODDAMNIT, i'll remain that way. It's a metaphor.

My headcanon age goes like this:

(Oldest) Rarity -> Applejack -> Rainbow Dash -> Fluttersh = Twilight Sparkle -> Pinkie Pie (Youngest)

@Ace, King: I just want to point out that once you get past college or so, numerical age as precisely nothing to do with maturity level. The fact that, say, Rarity acts more mature than Pinkie doesn't necessarily imply anything about their ages. Rarity could be a very mature 22 and Pinkie could be a very immature 25. Simply put, it doesn't matter who's the oldest because it doesn't really affect their personalities any.

Case in point, the Fluttershy/Pinkie gag: exactly how does it change their relationship that Fluttershy is older than Pinkie? It's not like either of them would act differently if their ages would be reversed. The only reason it was mentioned is because Pinkie was treating Fluttershy like a child, and Fluttershy was noting the irony. Outside of that specific circumstance, it really makes no difference.

Well, for their ages, I'll put Pinkie as the youngest, Rarity or AJ as the oldest and I'd put them all around the young adult range of ages.

It would actually be pretty funny if they revealed that Pinkie was way older than her friends. Like, she's one of those middle aged women who still try to act young. And when they ask her how Dash's sonic rainboom could possibly affect her at the same time as the others, she cheerfully changes the subject and it's never mentioned again.

Fluttershy's the only one who actually did look visibly older. Not sure what you're complaining about there.

Yeah, Cutie Mark Chronicles shows Fluttershy as looking a bit lankier than the other ponies, which implies that she's older than the others.
