Yeah, those two were just so different from the start, there's no real This is what you could become", Twi was never anything like Sunset. If anything Trixie is closer to a "What you might become" then Sunset.

@King: Actually given her personality in the Pilot as opposed to how she developed in the series her turning into something like Sunset wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. Though I think she would be more isolated then Sunset became.

2. the majority opinion here is that it's pretty good. a bit lacking in Character Development, but otherwise solid.

@Mike:

1. Cheese is sort of a Running Gag in this thread.

2. General consensus is that the plotline and new characters are lackluster, but it has some really good humor about Twilight adjusting to being human, and the songs are catchy. Overall nothing amazing, but still worth a watch.

The role she has already is character enough. A bitch who goes around being hot and in your face about it. Like a grown up Diamond Tiara. The lessons she learns from the mane6 will show how much she needs to learn. She needs development to become a full-rounded character.

I wanted to buy some smoked cheddar, as it was recommended earlier by CDRW (one of our resident cheese ~~conoisseurs~~ ~~connoisuers~~ guys), but it was more than I wanted to spend. I bought horseradish cheddar instead.

Yeah what everyone else said. It's entertaining to watch for the humor and the gags, individual scenes work and the shout outs are great. but the overall plot just falls to pieces when you actually think about it. As well as offering zero development for any of the two new characters.

It's probably a spoiler so don't tell me the answer. But I don't get why they all become human and go to high school. I mean... it's My Little PONY. About talking horses and such, in a fantasy world. Why put them in high school? Why make them people? :l

Not a spoiler, it's the basic premise. It's not the Mane 6, other then Twi, Twi goes to another world where the other Mane 5 have human counterparts, as to why High School?

Marketing.

Pretty much this. Hasbro handed them a massive mess of bullshit marketing thought would be good, and they polished it up as best they could. pretty much all the major issues are issues in concept.
