As to the Zebra's, half and half. They did have reason to be suspicious, but it was mostly due to there overwhelming fear of The Stars.

I still prefer PH's explanation that the war started as a trade disagreement and slowly grew in tension from there. The zebra's belief in the stars is part of it, but that can't be the entire justification for the war.

Size has never daunted me when it comes to fiction. I finished Fo:E in 8 days and Project Horizons which is 1200000 words in 10.

I've always found it curious that, of all the crossover fanfics the one that crosses over with Fallout is arguably the most popular.

Why Fallout in particular? Of all the video game series you'd expect a lot of bronies to be into, I'd expect things like Zelda, Kirby, maybe Final Fantasy... Fallout isn't exactly at the top of my list of great crossover potential. Apparently I'm wrong.

Speaking of Venture Bros, I just finished S1. Already knew what would happen at the end of the final episode, but it was still kind of depressing seeing Hank and Dean die unceremoniously.

@ dark, that's not PH's that's pretty much right from the main fic that it started as a dispute over resources and trade. PH just invented some of the more ridiculously complex and Machiavellian political crap that really does not fit the setting at all to me.

@ Calnos, because, regardless of WHAT it was, it's done AMAZINGLY well. As to why it was made in the first place, you're looking at it from the wrong angle. Kkat started working on it as a way to try and get Fallout fans into MLP, not the other way around.

And just because it is such an amazing, grand, epic story, that actually manages to combine to such disparate series, and make it work.

My attitude about FOE can be summed up as "it's certainly a thing that exists." Despite the uber fanfic I'm in the process of writing, I've never been a big fan of reading it.

Although for some reason the idea of a Borderlands crossover intrigues me.

Can we not go through this again? You like FOE, we get it.

@Calnos: The fandom's pretty big and Fallout is pretty popular so the a brony liking both is not out of the question. That's all you really need to get the possibility of a crossover to exist.

While a very strange, it's still not the most inappropriate crossover I can think of.

Is Fallout Esquerita really that long anyway? I haven't played a game of Fallout and I don't understand how one fanfic can be popular. But then again the Fallout series is popular, and it's got quite a following and I have heard things about the series as a whole so yeah.

It's more that it was one of the earliest large scale fanfic projects in the fandom; at the time it came out there weren't many other stories of that scope with half-decent quality.

From what I've heard, the author basically wrote it full-time while she was unemployed or something and had a few dedicated proofreaders. If I had that I could probably churn out something that long.

I'm already coming up on 200K for my own story, though it took me a year. Though I do have a bunch of side projects.
