With all the Fandom Nods they've done with Derpy (muffins, hanging out with Time Turner, mail mare) I wonder just when will they nod to the whole Derpy is Dinky's mom thing. Its like the last major fanon thing left to ascend with Derpy!

Funny thing is Amethyst Star being Dinky's sister is pretty much the only background pony sister pair from "Sisterhooves Social" that seems to stick in people's minds. Also in that episode all the other "big sister" BG ponies were in the stands watching themselves race. (On a side note, Derpy, while not in the race, was in the stands). The only pair that seemed to have any sense of continuity after this episode is Golden Harvest and Noi, who were seen together in "Putting Your Hoof Down".

And yet for the most part people just kinda shrugged and said "Guess Derpy has two daughters!" At least from what I've seen.
I don't understood how Amethyst being Dinky's sister contradicts the whole Derpy is Dinky's mother fanon. Background ponies are riddled with Vague Age, so there's no telling how old any of them really are beyond "child" and "not a child".
