Well it seems like they're using EP magic anyway as all the apples convienetly fall into the baskets regardless of where they're placed.

Just watched the first episode of Jormungand.

I'm talking about this, because one of the main character is a veteran Child Soldier (yeah, it sounds depressing, doesn't it), and in one scene he showed an interest to a stuffed doll. Then I wondered, he's going to have a fun time in Equestria.

@D Roy: I'd just call "EP magic" on the tree kicking and say it allows them to do so without hurting themselves. Also, booting a tree once and having all the apples fall into baskets is far more efficient than picking them individually, even if you are tall enough to reach them all.

@Apple: Personally, I'd say toned, with defined musculature, but not buff. You really only get bulked up if you work out specifically with that in mind, and while AJ does do a lot of athletic stuff, she doesn't seem to do really due much weightlifting.

RE: MMDW: I do consider it one of the weakest episodes of the series, but I don't think it's that awful compared to the others. At worst it's a bit subpar, not a piece of garbage. Honestly I think it just needed another round of editing. If they had done an extra rewrite it would have been fine.

Frankly, I personally don't buy this "EP and pegasi magic" fanon (or is it confirmed canon by EU materials, I don't know/care), but eh, it can be explained that way, I suppose.

MMDW also works a lot better if you assume that it takes place over a couple months so it's not like there's accidents every day suddenly.

[up][up]It's pretty much Word Of God that such magic exists, although we haven't seen a lot of it in the show proper.

[up]Which would be great if the show itself had implied that.

That feeling when something that sounds like a moronic fanon actually is canon, it's pretty darn weird.

Well, time to sleep. Good night/morning, folks.

@dRoy: Pegasi magic has always existed, if only to explain how they manipulate clouds and weather and such.

Earth Pony magic has been said by varies parties to exist, but frankly it seems to be an after thought and/or something thrown in later to avoid unfortunate implications. No one has explained how it works other then it involves plants and the earth (obviously).

"EP magic" makes me think that it's some effect of an Extended Play album :P

Well they're all made of iron and use cartoon physics, so there's clearly something 'magical'

And now I have another band name. The Lovely Pegasi.

Nine Inch Tails was great btw.

Is The Lovely Pegasi a reference to anything?

Hi, all, a friend of mine recently got me to sign up to TV Tropes. I wouldn't consider myself a brony, but after reading FOE and FOE: PH, I figured I'd watch a few episodes of the show.

My friend (oddly enough, he posted right above me, hello there! heeeeeellloooo!!) He mentioned that people make up characters, and after hearing about Octavia and DJ Pon3, I came up with one: Name: Neighcolto Pegasini Named after Nicolo Peganini, a famous violinist.

Anybody like the idea? Could it work in the universe? I haven't seen much of the show, but am watching it slowly. The puns are definetly "so bad they're funny, " at least I think so. Hard to take it seriously, but, hey, it's a kids cartoon.

^^ Rarity's hair is enough of a PITA to draw without coming up with a unique design for it yourself, so I'm not about to detract points for it. :P
