Seriously? it's ONE slot, and, who ataully pays attention to the feature box anyway? I stopped even looking at it months ago when it seemed like every clopfic posted that was halfway literate ended up in it and took up like half the slots.

What is with this whole "OH it's some big conspiracy to keep down the other actually GOOD fics that are just to small." thing coming from? Already saw plenty of others having the same issue. Yes it was posted to Fim fiction JUST so that it could take a spot in ONE of the spots in the feature box all to screw over every other possible fic that could use that spot. And everyone upvoting it is doing so just to make that happen, not because, you know, they don't give a buck about the feature box and are simply using the whole up/down voting system for the intended purpose, saying whether or not they liked a story.

You know, not because it's one of the biggest, most well known and famous stories in the fandom with a massive fanbase already which has every right to be on a site dedicated to MLP Fanfiction, as well as making it easier for people to be able to read it without having to relay on G-docs. Or that the issue is how the site fills in the feature box.

Seraph: If that was directed at me, I have no idea how you got that much out of my post, but please don't put words in my mouth.

Whether it's done on purpose or not doesn't really matter. It's a big name that's going up, so it's going to draw a lot of attention, even just by the title because it's so well known. This will inevitably draw in people who might normally give something different a chance, because famous fic. It doesn't matter if there's a conspiracy going on or not because, quite frankly, the fic doesn't need any conspirators behind it to do what it's going to do. Even being as charitable as possible, it's still collateral.

And the issue is? A famous and well loved fic, is having exactly what a well loved and liked fic on that site has happen.

@ Ikeepcrawlingback: It sounds like morbid curiosity, to me. Part of you wants to see how bad it gets. Then again, there are the abundant memes and little shout-outs/easter eggs littlered throughout the series. One episode uses Spider Jerusalem's shades as a throwaway gag. I'm also kind of confused that you're implying something is wrong with you. The show obviously doesn't suit your your tastes, but on some level you view it as a curiosity. There's nothing wrong with that.

You could always order the trades through Amazon, Sixth. Though I do applaud you for wanting to support your FLGS.
