I seriously question how the owner of that house didn't notice it. Whatever, my sister complained and some other neighbors know about it now. More complaining, more likely they'll get rid of it soon.

I've never heard of treating pain with capsaicin. I don't know if the treatment is a pill or a cream or what, but yeah, it sounds way too risky.

As for foot baths, I still have some Domeboro

powder packets, but it's so old it probably isn't effective anymore. I'll have to look into buying a new supply. Nothing to lose but money.

it's a cream that has to be applied by a medical professional. Although I hear they now have it in medicated bandage form.

and it might be risky, but if your feet are really giving you this much trouble, then it might be time to take some risks, you know?

it's at least worth looking into.

But yeah, a footbath is probably a good short term solution. If nothing else, the heat will feel good.
