Okay, sorry, had a sudden moment of perspective, there. That should be out of my system now.

There are countless articles online that explain the FIM phenomenon far better than I ever could. Long story short, they set out to retool the MLP franchise as a show that could be enjoyed by both children and adults, and succeeded beyond anyone's expectations. Quality animation and writing, memorable songs, characters with strong personalities and flaws the audience can relate to...

They basically took all of the cliches and preconceived notions of what My Little Pony used to be, and threw them in the trash.

Right, I understand all that, but occasionally I still just go "What. The fuck." It's more a "this is fucking ridiculous in the best possible way" than a "how, logistically, did this come about?".

@King Kix: I could easily think of superpowers for the Mane Six. Fluttershy, of course, controls animals, Rarity has power over gems, Twilight has her usual array of magic (and if she has a specific realm, I would give her some kind of light/energy powers), Pinkie has power over balloons and Edible Ammunition involving a weaponized version of when she threw cakes at Spike when he turned into a monster, Applejack would have superstrength and a Green Thumb, and Rainbow Dash has her superfast flight powers and electric powers.

I also thought of an idea for a Vinyl Scratch superhero version that inverts Personality Powers where she has powers over loud music and noises but is actually meek and soft-spoken when she talks normally. By the way, that card about her confirms my headcanon that Vinyl Scratch is her birth name and DJ Pon-3 is her stage name.

@crimsonstorm: That Wile E. Coyote picture in conjunction with moving a piano made me think "What would happen if Wile E. Coyote had to move a piano?" My thought was that he would probably rig up some complicated pulley system that would end up dropping the piano on his head.

And then to make it relevant to ponies, what would happen if the Looney Tunes characters came to Equestria? Aside from Pinkie, of course (she at least acts like a Looney Tunes character sometimes).

I would imagine it wouldn't be too different from the modern Looney Toons show.

Rarity can have thread based powers. For instance, wrapping your clothing around your neck and choking you. She can also make awesome shuriken with thread and needles used as blades that she can spin and chuck at enemies.

@Pannic: Personally, I'd recommend Dark Souls as well. Bioshock Infinite has a great story, but the gameplay isn't quite as dense.

So her ultimate technique would be pulling a one mare Moirai Sisters routine?
