Yeah, but that doesn't change the fact that the distance between degrees changes in the negatives. There's a point in negative where Celsius and Fahrenheit are interchangeable, and that's my issue with it.

No it doesn't. 1 degree celsius = 1.8 degrees farenheit no matter where you are on the scale.

Eh... oh, and about seasons: The joke varies in complexity, depending on how far you wanna go with it, basically. And the technical reason we have construction not-in-winter is because the winter is what fucks up the roads in the first place.

I used to live in Georgia, and I can say from experience that they had all four seasons there: early summer, summer, late summer, and Christmas.

I'm clearly some kind of freak, because I actually prefer that hellish heat over winter.

And, since today is apparently National Jump To Conclusions Day...

My roommate is like that too. And my landlady. Weirdos(One of the spellcheck options for this was didgeridoos, by the way).

Are you asian? I have a theory, because both my roommate and landlady are asian(Okay, so he's Chinese/Filipino and she's Vietnamese, but whatever)

@Meta: I generally prefer cooler weather for 2 reasons:

1. I hate being sweaty. It feels awful.

2. If I'm cold I can always put on a sweater or pull on another blanket or something. If I'm hot there's not really much I can do about it short of filling the bathtub with ice.

I like the warm rather more, despite my bitching about the 118 degree heat. I'd rather die of heat than cold, consider it leaches the life from you and leaves you a shivering wreck grasping for warmth. Whereas the heat will drain you of moisture and you'll frequently lose consciousness, so there's less suffering.

Agreed with JT on this one. There's plenty of ways to keep warm in the winter, but when it's hot out I'm stuck baking in the oven I call a house and wishing I had air conditioning. And actually trying to do work on hot days is the worst.

Mongrel. 1/4 Danish, smaller parts Irish, English, other European, and Cherokee.

I could argue that I'm Asian by virtue of the fact that Europe and Asia are really one continent, but I don't think that would help your theory.

I tend to prefer colder months as well. I get more opportunities to run without feeling like I'm a roast that's been left in the oven for too long. I also just tend to find late August onwards to be very refreshing compared to the heat and humidity that accompany the summer.
