whelp, my mom is on the rampage again
She's a real Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde type(especially now that she actually has a doctorate); she's the nicest lady you could ever meet, right up until things go wrong. Then she blows up. And just last night, she managed to delete all the contacts from her iphone. all +500 of them.
me, being the genius I am, try to appeal to her with logic and reason. Except she cares not for such things when she's like this, and trying to use those to solve her problems only makes her angrier. Which is exactly what I did.
Man, I never thought I'd be the one reaching out with personal problems here, but this has been a really bad morning for me.

I didn't say suggest that to her. What I meant is that he go to a psychologist/psychiatrist himself, explain the situation, and ask for advice/guidance. You can do that, right? I wouldn't know myself, since psychology/psychiatry as a medical discipline has a very weak/obscure presence in my country and AFAIK most of the ones working in it be considered amateurs by developed countries' standards (in no small part due to prevailing cultural prejudice against the very idea of admitting that you're mentally ill and need psychiatric help).

@marq: oh yes. the thing is, as crazy as she can get sometimes, she really does do a lot for the family, so much so that she wouldn't have the time to get help even if she'd accept it.
and really, it's not that she has some kind of psychological problem. It's just that she's a Puerto Rican who grew up in the Bronx
