@Applelight: Well he doesn't really need Discord-esque powers to have a fun loving, inconsiderate personality. In fact just doing some pranks with more mundane magic can probably get the idea across better.

If I had to choose a pony to move in with, I'm leaning Golden Harvest or possibly Berry Punch. I'd at least hang out with Berry. She seems to be pretty relaxed and is noted to be rather fun.

Regarding Friendship Is Witchcraft, there's a balance to making a Black Comedy without causing Darkness Induced Audience Apathy. I liked FIW through "Cherry Bomb", but "Foaly Matripony" was a bit too mean-spirited for my tastes.

Well, we see Berry's house moved in Hearts & Hooves Day. It looked to be a typical two story home. And given that she makes all sorts of fruit drinks, I'd expect there'd probably be a cellar.

I used to be okay with Friendship is Witchcraft, then they started making longer episodes that weren't actually funny, so I stopped watching. Mentally Advanced is my abridged series of choice.

I'm not a huge fan of any of the abridged series. I've seen a few episodes of a couple (can't even remember which ones), and I didn't really find any of them all that spectacular.

I don't really watch any of the abridged series, honestly. I gave Friendship is Witchcraft a shot, but never really went out of my way to watch it. I saw some of it and didn't really feel any impetus to finish it.

Watched 2 episodes of Fi W, after one it was meh for me, but that other abridged shows, after watching another ep I started hating it. Despite lots of effort put into it I think it's example how not to make abridged series, it's full of cruelity and jerkification (to Ron Dead Eater levels) without being funny.

Aliroz, if you're talking about the scenes with Fluttershy's dad in "Dragone Baby Gone", I think that was too over-the-top to be taken seriously. I'm sure that's what the creators intended.
In the same way that the Friendship Is Magic showrunners would never get away with someone beating a pony with a baseball bat in the show—but Twilight getting a flowerpot, anvil, wagon, and piano dropped on her head in quick succession is a-okay.
If you still think the joke was crossing a line, that's your prerogative.

I think all the abridged series could use more work, but Fi W is the only one that's funny to me. Granted I still haven't tried Mentally Advanced.
