I personally find Twilight cuter than Fluttershy, because the former's cuteness usually results from her excitedness. Sometimes I imagine her to be a Genki Girl whenever studying and science are involved.

I believe that Fluttershy is shy out of choice. We've all seen what happens when little things set her off.

She might have years of Suppressed Rage in her. She's what I like to call Palpatine's Goldmine.

By Season 4, a villain is going to get all of Fluttershy's rage thrown at him/her, and all we'll see are the other characters simply shouting: "STOP IT! THEY'RE ALREADY DEAD!"

@Thirikal, . I am going through the same thing so I can relate.

As overboard as she got in Putting Your Hoof Down, she and Iron Will had a valid point. And yet, Fluttershy pretty much going back to the same personality was seen as a good thing by her friends. There wasn't much of a middle ground and that really bugged me. I can get that personality and psychological issues take time to try and get over, but going back to the way you were before trying to deal is even worse. Not that it was right to lash out, but if anyone had a good excuse, it's Fluttershy.

Duh, of course she went back to Old Fluttershy. Status Quo Is God.

We're almost certain the 66-minute DVD is Equestria Girls. Yes it turned out to be 72 minutes, but it may have been expanded in some way during production or that only covered Top Draw's contribution. It also lines up nicely with timing, "DVD" was worked on from September to December of last year. There hasn't been any mention of another DVD being worked on by DHX or Top Draw.

As nice as A Very Minty Hearth's Warming would be (how can we get Pinkie Pie to say "You broke Celestia?"?), this is probably a derp on Amazon's part. They're known to derp.

@Dark: Her turn back to old Fluttershy was good in that old Fluttershy is definitely nicer than new Fluttershy. A midpoint would be superior to both, though. I like Fluttershy, but I agree that she does need to get a bit more development; maybe get an episode that isn't driven by her shyness or lack of assertiveness. She can be demure without being a doormat.

BTW for Twilight's guardian, I've decided the challenge is to (not) organize the library in Four hours. I believe that the challenge is her prioritizing her friends over order. So Twilight would had reorganized some of the books but her friends are in trouble and she has no time left to save her friends and get all the books organized. So the Threshold Guardian is a really messy library. Thoughts?

They need to do with Fluttershy's personality what they did with Rarity's. Show that the stereotype is not the person. If Rarity was played according to type, she'd be the main antagonist and Alpha Bitch of the show. Instead, she's the most consistently interesting personality. They need to show that Fluttershy is more than her shyness and her reactions to it.

Someone on Derpibooru pointed out some Fridge Brilliance. The first letters of the Pie Sisters names (Marble, Limestone, Pinkamena) spell MLP. That's...kinda cute.

Comebine that with an Eldritch Location that warps distance and space, and it could work.

@JT: If the show were to actually do something like that, it'd make a very happy man.

I would like to repose the following is we're discussing initials (and because I'm editing the Fridge Brilliance page.)

I've added the R/S and Acronym parts to the fridge page. I didn't add the Apple Bloom and Applejack part 'cause "Apple" is not a letter and they seem to have a paradoxically naming system compared to the culture the Apple clan was inspired from. (Usually Last names go first in Asian countries, not Southern America) Making it more Fridge Logic if anything.

No, and no, I don't wanna know where it is.

Today's been a pretty shitty day. I got woken up by a call from my boss asking where I was because my alarm didn't go off in the morning. I got reassigned to the crappy booth because I was late, the tiny one without a functioning credit card machine where they're also doing construction that is messing with everything. Somebody got mad and called me an asshole because I wouldn't let him go for free. My boss casually told me that my deposit from last night was $94 off, which I only found out after my shift that it was an error by the night shift manager from the other day. My landlord came in to clean the carpets. I had been informed that she was only doing the living room, but she wasn't. She went into my room and messed with all my stuff. And on top of all that, she's just 'happened' to notice that our window screen was slightly more bent today than it was a few days ago and is deciding to charge us for replacing it, which is going to be hard considering that buying toothpaste is a severe strain on my finances.
