@ed: Eh, just get the voice actors to play the characters. Because they can totally pass for high schools students.

More like college students.

I would pay to see college-age EQG.

But without Flash, how would they have animated the movie?

That's a terrible pun. Someone give this man a medal.

Unfortunately, they're also a lot slower.

And can only take one action per round.

But without Flash, how would they have animated the movie?

JS/Html5 of course.

@ Kegi, agree with everything you said 100% about the pinkie comic.

I do say I like the slightly more cynical Mane Six in the movie. It gives me an idea what they'd have been like before Twilight came around. Still wish there was more Dashy, she had maybe a page and a half of dialogue, at best.

Actually, I beleive I was the first to make that pun.

It was even worse when I saw it, since I missed pretty much her only scene in the movie due to a bathroom break. But I think she did come across as pretty flat, possibly due to a lack of screen time.

And speaking of coming around, I think we can all agree Helping Twilight Sparkle is a pretty good song.

Meh, that song.. it's catchy and not bad, but, also, bleh. Really, it's the video part that throughs me the most, it jus doesn't look right, the way they move, some of the poses they make...

Plus, why the hell are they listing off their Elements of harmony? How the hell do they know them? This is before Twi mentioned anything about Equestria, and even then i don't think she ever told them that the other world has exact doubles of them.

It's actually been stuck in my head for the past two days. One thing I wondered after rewatching it is why they wink at the camera so much though.

Maybe they're just trying to say it'll be ok. Sorry, couldn't resist, this fandom's full of catchy music.

Twi co-wrote the song probably. She can make the connection without being explicit about it.

Must have been a long break.

What, 2 minutes? I was as fast as I could be. Also, is there anyone who doesn't call these () parenthesis? Wikipedia suggests this is an Americanism.

Weird. To me, brackets are []

Huh, OK. I've been using the wrong term all this time then.

These [] are called square brackets.

I wonder if the novelization will give us anymore EQG details?

Also, I'm starting to think that Lyra's a student who accidentally went through the portal and decided to stay in Equestria.
